Healthy Fruit Smoothies Recipes You Should Try Out

Fruits are fun to eat on their own, but it doesn’t mean you have to always eat it as is! Why not get your blender, gather your favorite fruits, and make a smoothie out of it?

Drinking fruit smoothies is one of the healthiest ways to cool down and spruce up your hot afternoons! They’re sweet, cold, and full of nutrients. However, for some people, it can be frustrating to make because there are a lot of recipes you can match. From the basic ones to some of the very creative mixes we have tried, we have rounded up some of the best and not-should-be-missed fruit smoothie recipes you should try out at home.

Banana Smoothie

When it is your first time trying out making a smoothie, the banana smoothie is a great recipe to start with. After all, it is an excellent way to make use of ripe bananas before they start going bad. First of all, it is very easy to make, plus it is something that all the people in the household will surely love! Bananas also make the best smoothie texture: smooth and nice, somewhere in between runny and stiff.

We are not kidding when we say this is very easy to make! All you need are 5 ingredients:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¾ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 1 ½ cups of vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup ice

Gather all the ingredients. Slice the bananas and set aside 2-4 slices for garnish. Pour the ingredients into a blender accordingly: honey, vanilla extract, sliced bananas, vanilla yogurt, and lastly, ice. Blend until it appears creamy and smooth. After that, pour the contents into a chilled glass. This recipe makes two servings, so enjoy it with your child or your spouse!

 Fresh Mango Smoothie

This recipe is just as easy as the banana smoothie, but it provides a hint of tropical, something to remind you of the white sand beach you love going to!

All it takes are three ingredients to create this masterpiece:

  • 1 cup mango, diced
  • 1 cup non-fat, plain yogurt or vanilla
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • Milk or water for that added richness

Gather all the ingredients and place the mango, yogurt, and ice in the blender. Blend altogether until the consistency smoothens. If it’s too thick for your liking, add milk or water then blend again. Serve and enjoy!

 Strawberry Almond Smoothie

Strawberry and almonds are a match made in heaven! Why not transform it into a wonderful smoothie?

The Strawberry Almond Smoothie works great as a breakfast smoothie, an afternoon mood booster, or an evening sweet drink!

Here are the ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen (more preferred) strawberries
  • 2 cups vanilla-flavored or plain almond milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened yogurt
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp blanched slivered almonds

When using fresh strawberries, make sure to rinse them carefully and pat them dry. Make sure to hull the berries, too. After that, pour all the ingredients into the blender. Blend until the consistency becomes frothy and smooth.

If using frozen strawberries, blend longer until you achieve your desired texture. Pour into the glass, serve, and enjoy!

 Virgin Miami Vice

This more indulgent smoothie makes for a perfect dessert. It’s a lot of fun and more creative to make. It includes creamy, tasty layers of coconut, pineapple, lime, and strawberry—a perfect smoothie that the kids will surely enjoy creating as well.

Prepare the following ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream
  • 1 tbsp of half-and-half
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 3 tbsp strawberry puree
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tbs simple syrup
  • Strawberry for garnish

Gather all the ingredients. Put the first three ingredients on the list and a half cup of ice inside the blender then mix it up until the consistency is smooth. After that, pour the contents into a highball glass. Next, put the remaining half cup of ice, strawberry puree, simple syrup, and lime juice inside the blender. Blend until it turns into a smooth mixture. Slowly pour the mixture over the back of a spoon (a technique for layering drinks). Top off the drink with strawberry, serve, and enjoy!
